Incorrect System Clock or Timezone Settings
One of the most likely causes of activation errors—other than incorrectly entering the license key—is that the time or timezone setting on your machine is incorrect. Ideally, your time should be synchronized with a reliable internet time source, like time.nist.gov.

Inaccessible Hardware IDs
If you're seeing an Activation Hardware ID error like the screenshot shown below, it's possible that your hardware IDs, used to identify your machine in the license activation record, are inaccessible.
